Our Owner Jaci Diamond has over 25 years of experience in Pediatric Development and a Master of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology. A working mother of two, prior to joining Westfield Little School in August 2012, Jaci spent the previous eight years as a Senior Speech-Language Pathologist with Children’s Specialized Hospital providing Early Intervention. Her therapeutic experience focused on collaborating with parents to address their concerns related to speech-language and feeding development.
Her experience as a working parent and child development professional has shaped the philosophy and the programs at Westfield Little School.
As a working mother of two children, Vibeke understands the complex needs of our families. With her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education, exceptional knowledge of child development theory and practice, and extensive classroom experience, Vibeke brings profound knowledge to her role as Director. Her philosophy of care mirrors our program in encouraging children to develop a love of learning through exploration, creativity and problem-solving. Aside from working with children, she loves baking and gardening.
Kim has been the lead teacher of our infant program since she joined our team in 2012. With over 22 years of childcare experience in a variety of settings, Kim's philosophy of care is reflected in everything she does with our infants. She believes that children learn best when parents are involved and seeks to partner with parents in creating each baby's individual schedule.
Her own family includes two daughters: a college senior and a recent graduate of TCNJ. She is also a singer who loves to share her voice with the babies.
As a working mother herself with over 20 years of classroom experience, Purnima brings a variety of expertise to our program. She believes that a rich learning environment is developed with meaningful interactions between teachers and children in a variety of routines to support all of their emerging new skills.. She provides the children with a balance of teacher-led and child-led activities to give them the opportunity to develop a variety of skills across developmental domains.
With over ten years of childcare experience, and two children of her own, Ashley combines her joy of teaching and parenting knowledge to provide our two year old class with a well-rounded learning environment. She believes that children learn best through play and exploring their environment, especially outside! She incorporates the integration of gross motor, fine motor, cognitive, social-emotional, language, and self-care skill development in all of her programs at Westfield Little School.
Miss MaryAnne has Bachelor of Arts and over 15 years of experience in early childhood education, in addition to being a mother of three. She has a rich background in fostering a nurturing and engaging learning environment. Miss MaryAnne has also spent more than 8 years coaching Cheer in a variety of settings. Her extensive experience translate into the classroom, where she creates a dynamic, positive environment that encourages every child.
Utilizing the Creative Curriculum and Handwriting Without Tears programs, she ensures they have the skills requisite to a successful transition into elementary school by introducing activities that incorporate math and literacy concepts, as well as meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of the children in her class.
