As educators, we believe that the best model for infant care is a small home-like setting mirroring a parent's approach to care. Our teachers develop each baby's individual schedule with your family. Our program includes “just like home” activities, such as neighborhood walks, music and storytime. Our infant play area provides our babies with a secure environment that fosters exploration and the development of their quickly developing new skills: rolling, crawling, grasping, and reaching.
Our Infant Creative Curriculum® addresses all of your infant's developmental skills, including:
Our young Toddlers continue to receive the same personalized care and “Just like home” activities as they begin their transition to a group schedule for snacks, mealtimes, and naptime routines. Toddlers are now actively exploring their environment, and our teachers plan a variety of activities to keep them engaged, and plenty of opportunities to practice all of their developing new skills. Toddlers are forming the foundation for their transition to preschool and beginning to participate in an expanded variety of activities with their friends. Teachers plan a balanced day between movement, music, art, storytime, and table-top activities to enhance their emerging skills across all developmental domains.
An introduction to letters, numbers, shapes, and colors begins during familiar routines, such as music, storytime, and circle time routines. Our thematic Creative Curriculum® focuses on the following developmental skills:
Enrichment programs, such as Music and Preschool Fitness, are offered throughout our academic school year.
Research shows that a whole-child approach to education—one where children develop not only math and literacy skills but also social–emotional, physical, and cognitive skills—is developmentally appropriate and better prepares children for life well beyond their time in a classroom. Our early childhood education classroom is designed as a learning community with exploratory learning centers, such as dramatic play, library, blocks and manipulatives, enhancing opportunities to promote skill development, as well as support independent exploration or sharing with their friends. Teachers use The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool, one of the most widely used curricula in the nation with high-quality, comprehensive resources to empower educators to intentionally teach and care for our youngest learners during the most critical and formative years of development.
The Creative Curriculum® for Preschool focuses on the following developmental skills:

STEAM inspired classroom materials and activities encourage children to explore, be innovators and engage in problem-solving through hands-on play. Learning centers complement our programs while providing additional opportunities for hands-on experiences to further develop their early math skills, pre-reading and pre-writing skills, dramatic play, and creative art while supporting children's need to balance both shared and independent learning.
Enrichment programs expand in our Pre-K program to include a foreign language, preschool sports, yoga, music and art during the academic school year. Special events throughout the year, including the Westfield Firehouse, Westfield Post Office, or just into town for ice cream, give our children an expanded sense of our community.
